Description

Tichu is the further development of a traditional card game that Swiss author Urs Hostettler became familiar with on one of his journeys. The game quickly started its triumphant journey throughout all German-speaking regions of Europe. Meanwhile, it has spread worldwide.
It’s a partnership game in which each team tries to be the first to get rid of all its cards. This requires good judgment and some intuition. If both players of a team manage to get rid of their cards before even one player of the other team does, the tricks are not counted, but the successful team automatically scores 200 points. Every round, a team has to decide whether it wants to focus on collecting point-making tricks or whether it feels strong enough to go for a double win with the considerably higher “points lump sum”. The game proceeds usually until one team has reached 1000 points. Metal Box!
